Sarah Sutton Named 2024 Outstanding CSR of the Year in Arkansas

AUSTIN, TX (July 2024) – Risk & Insurance Education Alliance has announced that Sarah Sutton is the 2024 Outstanding CSR of the Year recipient for the state of Arkansas.

To qualify for this top state honor, Sarah Sutton submitted the winning essay on the topic,

“In today’s volatile economy, both property and auto markets are in turmoil, with soaring rates and inflation impacting insurance agencies and their customers. CSRs face unexpected challenges from global events, economic shifts, and emerging risks. Explore how resilience and adaptability are crucial for CSRs to navigate these challenges, maintain customer satisfaction, and share real-life examples of success in meeting evolving customer needs amidst adversity. In your essay, discuss how the dual pressures of economic instability and customer expectations shape the role of CSRs, and discuss the innovative approaches and best practices employed to mitigate challenges and foster enduring customer relationships.”

Additionally, Mrs. Sutton was selected for having demonstrated outstanding service and professionalism within the insurance community.

Sarah Sutton began her insurance career as a customer service representative in 2006. She has been associated with McGhee Insurance Agency in Little Rock, Arkansas since the beginning of her career, serving over the past 18 years in varous capacities: Receptionist, Personal Lines Account Manager, Personal Lines Sales Agent, Service Team Manager, and currently, Operations Manager. She has been a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Arkansas (IIAAR) since 2007. Sutton attained her CISR designation in 2011 and CIC designation in 2021. She also served on the IIAAR Young Agents Committee from 2018-2019.

Winning the state award makes Mrs. Sutton eligible for judging at the National level. The National Outstanding CSR of the Year Award carries a $2,000 cash prize and a scholarship for the recipient’s employer to any program offered by Risk & Insurance Education Alliance. The National winner also receives a distinctive gold and diamond lapel pin cast wit the Outstanding CSR of the Year emblem. Additionally, the winner’s name will be inscribed on a sculpture permanently displayed at the national headquarters in Austin, Texas.
