Automobile Insurance Questions
What coverage is mandatory in Arkansas?
Liability coverage is mandatory by Arkansas Law. Liability coverage pays
for accident claims when you are at fault. The minimum required coverage is $25,000 for Bodily Injury per person, $50,000 per accident,
and $25,000 for Property Damage.
What is Uninsured and Underinsured Coverage, and do I need it?
Uninsured Coverage pays your claim when the other person is at fault and does not have liability coverage.
Underinsured Coverage provides you with extra protection when the other driver is at fault but does not have
enough insurance to cover your medical claims. In a perfect world everyone would have sufficient liability coverage, but you and
we do not live in a perfect world. There are people driving, in violation of Arkansas Law, without
liability insurance protection. There are a number of people who do not have enough liability coverage. Also, think about the fact
that the other driver may live in another state. (back to top)
What is Personal Injury Protection?
Personal Injury Protection provides you with coverage for wage loss, death benefits and medical coverage regardless of who is
at fault. (back to top)
What is Comprehensive and Collision Coverage?
Comprehensive and Collision coverage protects you from loss when there is no other driver at fault. Comprehensive coverage protects
you against damage to your automobile from acts of nature or other events not related to operating your vehicle. Collision
coverage provides protection for your vehicle if you are involved in an accident in which you or no one is at fault.
Does my auto policy cover a rental car while my car is being repaired?
Maybe. One of the most overlooked features of auto insurance is Rental Reimbursement. It must be added to your
basic auto policy, and is very inexpensive. Most people shopping for the lowest price often forget to have this benefit added. Please
ask our agents about this when you apply for auto coverage. (Back to Top)
If I loan my car to someone, are they covered?
Yes. Anyone using your vehicle with reasonable permission is covered.
Is
it possible to pay my premiums with a credit card?
Yes. Some of the companies we represent do take credit card payments.
